Mom’s Gold and Green Fringe Set

This isn’t the first jewelry set I’ve made but it was the first set my mom seen me working on when she moved back to Indiana. She didn’t know I was making jewelry. It wasn’t something we had ever talked about.

I was planning on selling the set but when my mom fell in love with it I just couldn’t. I gave it to her instead.

She’s so thrilled that I can create these custom pieces. It tickles me to see her reaction to each new creation. Now she goes around telling everyone that her daughter is a “jewelry designer.”

This set includes a 20″ necklace, an 8″ bracelet and a pair of  earrings.

At my mothers request I used kidney earring wire because she wanted it to close in the back. They were originally set on fishhook earring wires.

Another adjustment I made, at her request, was to the clasp. She preferred the magnetic clasps which are easier for her to open and close.

An unexpected benefit to using a decorative clasp was that she could make the necklace longer by attaching the bracelet to it – giving it an equally beautiful yet different look.

I enjoy making these “shag” or “fringe” pieces because they are lively with movement and can be created in so many different color combinations.

This particular set is made with gold plated jump rings and clasps, and embellished with emerald green beads that have been worked onto the jump rings.

Just Getting Started

Here it is! The site is finally being transformed. I’m just getting started so it’s not completely ready yet.

I never ever thought I’d be selling jewelry but, I’ve been told that I have a knack for it. We’ll see.

A total of 10 pictures have been temporarily placed in my daughters flickr account so you can get an idea of what’s to come. (See top right corner. I’ll get my own account soon. Hers was handy.)

I still have a lot of jewelry pieces that haven’t been photographed yet so…. more will be coming. LOT’s more!

There’s a lot to do on the backend too… page order, seo optimization, more scripts to install, etc. Plenty enough to keep me busy.

If you want to inquire about custom work or need to contact me for any other reason please use the form on the contact page. It’s quick and easy.

Thank you so much for stopping by. :)
